Terms of Service
These terms govern access to the Trivia website, published question sets, user accounts, and application foundation.
Last updated August 13, 2026
1. Agreement
By accessing Trivia or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you use Trivia for an organization, classroom, church, workplace, event, or family group, you are responsible for ensuring that use follows the group’s requirements.
2. Current service
The current service provides public trivia content, authentication, and an early application shell. Live multiplayer hosting, billing, custom trivia, saved games, and automated scoring are planned but not currently available.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for accurate account information, maintaining access to your email, and protecting your credentials. Do not share passwords or attempt to access another person’s account.
Trivia may suspend access that appears abusive, unlawful, automated in a harmful way, or likely to threaten the service or other users.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, interfere with its operation, probe for unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, scrape it in a way that harms availability, impersonate another person, or use published content for unlawful or abusive activity.
5. Content and intellectual property
Trivia owns or licenses its software, interface, branding, editorial structure, and original written materials. You may use the published trivia rounds to host ordinary personal, educational, community, or workplace games.
You may not republish the full library as a competing database or represent Trivia content as your own commercial product without permission.
6. Future plans and pricing
Trivia Pro is described as a planned $15/month offering. No subscription is sold in this release, and creating an account does not authorize a future charge. Paid terms will be presented before checkout becomes available.
7. Third-party services
Trivia depends on third-party services for hosting, authentication, analytics, and infrastructure. Their availability and separate terms may affect the service.
8. Availability and changes
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features, content, routes, and availability may change as the product develops. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trivia will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from use of the service.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.
